Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions govern the booking of The Cassettes for weddings, parties, corporate events and all other engagements. By paying a deposit or signing a booking confirmation, you agree to these terms in full.

1. Booking & Confirmation

• A booking is only confirmed upon receipt of a non-refundable deposit (typically 25% of the agreed fee)

• A booking confirmation will be issued by Bandtube Ltd on behalf of The Cassettes

• The remaining balance is due no later than 28 days before the event date

• Bookings made within 28 days of the event date require full payment at the time of booking

2. Pricing & Payment

• All prices quoted are in pounds sterling (£)

• Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue

• Payment can be made by bank transfer to the details provided on your invoice

• We reserve the right to amend pricing for bookings not yet confirmed

3. Cancellation Policy

Cancelled by the Client

• More than 12 months before the event: deposit only is forfeited

• Between 6–12 months before the event: 50% of the total fee is payable

• Between 3–6 months before the event: 75% of the total fee is payable

• Less than 3 months before the event: 100% of the total fee is payable

All cancellations must be made in writing to gavin@therushband.co.uk

Cancelled by The Cassettes

In the unlikely event that The Cassettes are unable to fulfil a booking, we will make every effort to provide a suitable replacement act of equivalent quality through Bandtube Ltd. If no suitable replacement is available, a full refund of all monies paid will be issued. Our liability is limited to the total fee paid.

4. Performance Details

• The Cassettes will perform for the duration and number of sets agreed at the time of booking

• A full PA system, lighting rig, and all necessary equipment is included unless otherwise stated

• The client is responsible for ensuring a suitable performance space is available, including adequate power supply and access for load-in

• Set times are agreed in advance — changes on the day are at the band's discretion

• The Cassettes reserve the right to adjust set volume at their professional discretion in accordance with venue requirements

5. Venue Requirements

• The client must ensure the venue permits live amplified music

• Any venue noise restrictions, curfews, or licensing conditions must be communicated to us at least 14 days before the event

• The Cassettes accept no liability for curtailed performances resulting from venue restrictions not disclosed in advance

• Adequate parking and load-in access must be available at the venue

6. First Dance & Special Requests

• First dance song requests must be submitted at least 4 weeks before the event

• We will make every reasonable effort to accommodate special song requests, but cannot guarantee all requests

• Any requests requiring significant additional rehearsal may be subject to an additional fee, agreed in advance

7. Force Majeure

The Cassettes shall not be liable for failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, natural disaster, pandemic, acts of terrorism, or government restrictions. In such cases, we will work with the client to reschedule where possible.

8. Liability

• The Cassettes carry full Public Liability Insurance

• Our total liability to the client shall not exceed the total fee paid for the booking

• We accept no liability for any indirect or consequential loss arising from our performance or non-performance

9. Behaviour & Conduct

• The Cassettes reserve the right to cease performance if any member of the band is subjected to aggressive, abusive, or threatening behaviour by the client or their guests

• In such circumstances no refund will be issued

• The client is responsible for the behaviour of their guests towards the band and equipment

10. Equipment & Damage

• All equipment brought to the venue remains the property of The Cassettes

• The client accepts liability for any damage to band equipment caused by guests or venue staff

• The Cassettes accept no responsibility for damage to the venue caused by their equipment when used appropriately

11. Recordings & Photography

• The client and their guests are welcome to photograph and film the band for personal use

• Any commercial use of recordings or photographs requires prior written consent from Bandtube Ltd

• The Cassettes reserve the right to use photographs and video from your event for promotional purposes unless you notify us otherwise in writing before the event

12. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
